"The Road to Freedom" was composed and dedicated to the Raul Perales Middle School Band (Laredo, Tx.) and their Director, Alejandro Mireles. Mr.Mireles was a student of mine at Los Obispos Middle School (Laredo, Tx.). He has become a successful Band Director in Texas. He is currently a very successful Head Band Director at Raul Perales Middle School. This work is a great piece for contests, as well as concerts.
